The Best Oils for Low Porosity Hair, What Are They?

What are the best oils for low porosity hair? There are many, but a few stand out. I love argan oil, as it is great for oily hair and very easy to use. My two favorite oils for low porosity hair involve grape seed oil and jojoba oil (for the scalp). 

The best oils for low porosity hair contain:

Argan oil

also called Moroccan oil, is great for your hair because of its unique fatty acid content. This oil is very close in composition to your natural hair oils, and because it is completely natural, your hair can use it with ease. This oil contains Vitamin E, which promotes healthy sebum production and keeps frizz under control. You can get this oil from your local store or online, and if you don’t like the smell of it, you can just take a dab of jojoba or almond oil in a bowl and mix them together.

Grapeseed oil 

is also great for those of you with low porosity hair. This super-rich oil not only protects but nourishes your strands as well. This is because it is very similar to the nutrients found in your scalp, and since it is naturally oil based, it easily gets absorbed and deeply clamped into your cuticle. It also helps to protect your cuticles from the environment, which means it stays looking and feeling great all day.

Babassu palm wax

 One of my favorite oils for low porosity hair is called Babassu palm wax. This natural oil is full of natural vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. When applied to your hair, it seals the moisture in. When you leave it on, it protects from the environment as well and will seal in even more moisture. It also helps to protect your hair from wind and humidity, which can damage it.

avocado oil
